AP1101EW Sex by five-year age group (non-UK born short-term residents)
This dataset provides 2011 Census estimates that classify non-UK born short-term residents of England and Wales by sex and by five-year age group. The estimates are as at census day, 27 March 2011.
This is the first time this information has been collected in the census. Along with estimates of migrants, the information will be used by central and local government to assess community needs and inform demands for public services such as education and health. The data can also help explain differences between ONS population estimates, which do not include short-term migrants, and various administrative sources which include both short- and long-term migrants.
